As a Research Analyst, you will play a crucial role in collating, maintaining, and updating data in the FactSet database to ensure accuracy and real-time availability for FactSet clients. Reporting directly to the Team Lead, this role requires strong problem-solving, communication skills, and a foundational understanding of finance and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management: Collate, update, and maintain accurate data in the FactSet database, ensuring all information aligns with established work processes and quality standards.
- Content Analysis: Review official updates from trusted sources (feeds, press releases, corporate action mails) to analyze and input accurate content for FactSet clients.
- Technology Integration: Work closely with technology teams, utilizing FTP, SFTP, Microsoft Excel, and AI technology to improve and streamline processes.
- Client Support: Address client queries via RPDs (client request tickets), troubleshoot issues, and apply escalation protocols as necessary.
- Process Improvement: Provide ideas for process improvement and communicate any gaps in guidelines or documentation.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with Benchmark stakeholders to ensure a seamless data delivery process.
- Quality Assurance: Take ownership of quality assurance checks, report inconsistencies, and escalate issues as needed.
- Adaptability: Participate in cross-training and be prepared for job rotations within the Benchmarks Operations team.
Job Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance (B.Com., B.com computer, BE/B tech, etc.) with an MBA specialized in Finance.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of FTP, SFTP, Microsoft Excel, and AI technology.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities with an analytical and creative approach.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Initiative and Motivation: Self-motivated with a proactive approach to solving problems.
- Curiosity and Willingness to Learn: Eager to learn from others and improve through training sessions and team collaborations.
